Meet Our Team
Jim Verghis is the founder of Behavioral Iridology & Executive Director of the Institute For Family Healing.
Jim is the visionary behind Behavioral Iridology and the Institute For Family Healing. His healing journey began after a near death 44-foot fall from a roof in 1978, which left him battling degenerative rheumatoid arthritis and constant, severe pain. During his recovery, Jim realized that emotional and mental pain were key contributors to his physical suffering. This insight led him to study with 5 powerful teachers and their methodologies, eventually integrating it all into his own comprehensive healing model—Behavioral Iridology. This approach goes beyond addressing physical pain; it seeks to understand the psychology and heal its roots in family lineage, helping to break generational cycles for future generations.
Jim’s work also extends to animals, particularly horses, which often mirror the emotional and physical states of their owners. Horses, known for their heightened sensitivity, can absorb unresolved stress and generational traumas from their caregivers, much like first-born children do with their parents.
In 2024, a chance conversation with an equine iridologist sparked a new chapter in Jim’s work. She shared how, despite her best efforts, her horses were not healing as well as expected, as they were “taking on” their owners’ pain. Recognizing the intersection of their expertise, Jim and the iridologist agreed to partner providing holistic healing for both humans and horses. By understanding the intertwined histories of both the owner and the animal, Jim partnering with equine healers co-facilitate healing for both.
Today, the Institute For Family Healing collaborates with several equine iridologists and practitioners of natural healing techniques for animals, further expanding its mission to promote health and wellness for all.
